Caitlyn Chapman
Caitlyn Chapman is a jewellery designer and metalsmith based on Vancouver Island. With a background in the fine-art and fashion worlds, she strives to create wild and wearable coastal art jewellery for bold souls of every gender, featuring sculptural nature-inspired textures and forms. Working in recycled sterling silver and gold, her process includes both hand fabrication and in-house lost-wax casting. Each piece is formed with texture and flow intended to evoke feelings of the surf, earth, flora & fauna of our beautiful coastal home.
Caitlyn’s work is known for its luscious textures and ability to combine organic texture, glittering gemstones, and polished wearability. Juxtaposition is an important element in every piece. Her designs hit a sweet spot where unusual form & texture aren’t daunting to wear, and jewellery is an extension of the wearer’s personality and a key to their impeccable style.
Caitlyn’s spouse, Mark, has joined in her business, doing all of the lost-wax casting, and contributing his design aesthetic to some really exciting gender-neutral designs. This makes Caitlyn Chapman Studio a 2-person operation!”
